I have been surrounded by art all my life. Seeing my uncle’s work at a very young age was instrumental in not only my want but need to paint. My parents took me to galleries every chance they got, encouraging me to pursue my passion.

​Growing up in New England, I was surrounded by such beauty in the mountains and lakes. That and the fact that my parents took me on many travels across this beautiful country was inspiration for my landscape and seascape paintings. Not wanting to focus on one genre I started doing still life and moved onto doing animal portraits.

For me, art is a journey of the soul. My work, whether it’s an oil painting or a handcrafted crochet piece, is a reflection of the world around me. I find endless inspiration in the quiet beauty of a New England landscape, the powerful presence of the sea, and the simple elegance of a still life.

My technique involves a deep engagement with the materials. I build my paintings with deliberate, visible brushstrokes, allowing the texture of the paint itself to contribute to the final image. This approach allows me to explore the interplay of light and shadow, and to express the transient qualities of a moment—the shifting light on the water or the quiet dignity of an animal's gaze.

Ultimately, my goal is to create art that feels both timeless and personal. I want to share the joy and peace I find in the creative process, whether you are bringing a piece of my art into your home or discovering your own creativity in one of my painting workshops.

​I find painting to be fun and relaxing. I try to encourage everyone I come in contact with to try it.

In addition to my painting practice, I also explore fiber arts through crochet, needlepoint, and weaving.
